COMPATIBILITY

The DB5 is suitable with a wide range of bass guitars.

DB5 INSTALLATION:

1. Remove the pickguard and electronics plate.
2. Unscrew your old pickups if there are.
3. Remove the ground wires and expose the hot wires.
4. Disconnect the soldered wires to remove the pickups.
5. Carefully pull the pickups away and gently remove everything.
6. Install the DB5 pickups to the same spots.
7. Secure the pickups by tightening the screws with a screwdriver.
8. Reconnect the wires by soldering. You can insert a heat-shrink sleeve to protect the exposed areas after soldering.
9. Reinsert the electronics plate and pickguard back and make sure everything is secured.

CARE TIPS:

1. Wipe down the pickup regularly. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. 
2. Ensure the cables connected to your pickups are in good condition and properly connected. Faulty cables can introduce noise and affect sound quality. Regularly check the soldering points on your pickups (if accessible) and tighten any loose connections.
3. Keep your bass away from strong magnetic fields.
4. Store your bass in a suitable case especially when transporting it to avoid unnecessary impacts that could dent or scratch the frame. 
5. Regularly inspect the screws and the overall surface to make sure the screws are still in place and the entire cover is still tightly secured to the pickup. 
6. Consider having your bass and its pickups professionally inspected and serviced periodically.
